Mr Paul Dyer has been appointed as the CEO of St John of God Midland Private Hospital for an initial two-year period. He will manage the planning of the new 150-stand-alone private hospital expected to be commissioned in 2020.

FSH executive director Paul Forden has been appointed acting chief executive of the South Metropolitan Health Service for a six-month period, replacing Dr Robyn Lawrence who is executive director of the Child and Adolescent Health Service. Ms Janet Zagari is the acting Executive Director of Fiona Stanley Hospital.

Cancer projects led by Prof Christobel Saunders and Prof Alistair Forrest have received an $18m funding boost from the Cancer Research Trust ($13.5m) and other partners including Cancer Council WA, Telethon Kids Institute, Perkins Institute, Murdoch, Curtin and Notre Dame universities, the WA Department of Health and St John of God Healthcare. 

Ms Irene Cattalini is the new CEO of One Tree Community Services – a service provider for children in vulnerable communities.

The CEO of Holyoake, Ms Angie Paskevicius has been named NFP Leader of the Year by the Institute of Public Administration Australia WA.
